My colorful Killarney blanket

For quiet some time I’ve been working on a nice and warm blanket for my son. As the squares were fairly easy, I got a little bored once in a while…

But it has been finished! Backed with a nice soft fleece blanket it now is a favorite for my son and he is sleeping under it every night.

  • Pattern: Spincushions Killarney square (from her book “Granny square flair”)
  • Yarn: Yarn and colors Musthave
  • Hooksize: 4.00 mm

This blanket consists of 54 squares in 5 different main colors. The first 7 rows of the pattern are made in the bright colors, adding 2 rows of light grey (dc) and 2 rows of dark greys (1 row hdc and 1 row sc).

For the border I crocheted 1 row sc of each color interchanged by one of the greys. The blanket measures appr. 120 x 180 cm.
